Hi, I’m Sara Naouchi.

I am an anti-diet dietitian committed to guiding individuals towards a healthier relationship with food and their bodies. We live in a society that is obsessed with food rules, we are inundated with messages from social media, news, television and even our healthcare system - telling us that we are not good enough, healthy enough or thin enough. We are led to believe that the answer to all our problems lies within the newest diet or exercise routine. These messages leave us constantly questioning our food and lifestyle choices- leaving us even further disconnected from our bodies than before.

We live in a diet-culture that traps us in a hamster wheel of insecurity and self-doubt. My goal is to help you unlearn this false narrative and develop a healthy relationship with food and your body. Our work together will help you learn how to nourish your body, without dieting and obsessive exercise, and instead through gentle nutrition and joyful movement.


My Approach

 

My nutrition philosophy is a non-diet approach that incorporates principles of intuitive eating and Health at Every Size (HAES). When you look at nutrition through both a physiological and psychological lens, you can develop a deeper understanding of your body’s needs and how it functions.

 

Specialty

I specialize in working with individuals struggling with diagnosed eating disorders, chronic dieting, emotional eating and everything in between! I am also experienced with co-occurring digestive disorders, diabetes and hyperlipidemia.

I believe that all foods can fit into your life. Yes, ALL foods!  The less we demonize certain foods, while glorifying others, the less likely we are to feel out of control around food. After all, we do not just eat for nourishment… we also eat for celebrations, pleasure, tradition and social connection. You deserve to nourish your body, while also enjoying your food!
